Court Hearing Commences in Iryna Farion Murder Case

According to Novyny.live: The court hearing in the murder case of Iryna Farion began in Lviv on March 5. The suspect, Viacheslav Zinchenko, was supported in court by close relatives. Currently held in custody, Viacheslav Zinchenko faces a prosecutor's motion to extend his pre-trial detention by 60 days.

Viacheslav Zinchenko's lawyer, Ihor Sulima, raised the possibility of bail for the first time and requested a change of the preventive measure to house arrest. However, a scheduled hearing on January 14 did not proceed due to the absence of defense lawyers. The judge subsequently ruled to extend Viacheslav Zinchenko's preventive detention until May 4, denying any right to post bail.

The case remains under intense public scrutiny, with upcoming hearings set to determine the suspect's fate.
