According to Novyny.live: Starting in 2026, Ukrainian citizens will be permitted to hold multiple jobs, a practice known as 'sumisnytstvo,' allowing for additional income and professional experience. This framework is governed by Article 102-1 of the Ukrainian Labor Code. This policy reflects a modernizing labor market adapting to new economic realities.
Types of Multiple Employment and Compensation
Multiple employment can be internal, where an individual works additional roles for the same employer, or external, involving work for a different employer. Compensation is based on work actually performed, offering flexibility in earnings. In the commercial sector, there are no limits on the duration of such work, granting employees significant freedom in scheduling and task management.
However, the public sector imposes restrictions on the working hours for secondary jobs, which may limit opportunities for state employees seeking multiple positions.
