Switzerland to introduce scholarships for Ukrainians of 2000 euros per month: who will receive.
The Swiss government announces a scholarship competition for Ukrainian researchers and scientists for the 2025-2026 academic year.
The Swiss Confederation provides government scholarships to promote international exchange and scientific cooperation between Switzerland and other countries, including Ukraine. For the 2025-2026 academic year, the following types of scholarships have been announced for Ukrainian candidates: research, scholarships for doctoral degree seekers, post-doctoral scholarships.
Scholarships are provided for studies and research at Swiss public universities, federal polytechnic institutes, and universities of applied sciences.
Candidates must have a master's degree (or equivalent) by July 31, 2025, be born after December 31, 1989, and have a research proposal with a timeline. A recommendation letter from a supervising professor from Switzerland is also required.
The duration of the scholarship is up to 12 months, starting from September 1, 2025. The monthly payment is 1920 Swiss francs or slightly more than 2000 euros.
Documents for application submission need to be downloaded and the application packet filled out. Applications for Ukraine are accepted by the Embassy of Switzerland. The deadline for submitting documents is December 5, 2024.
Previously, Germany has been seeking ways to employ future doctors from Ukraine.
