The 'Diia' App Will Provide Marriage and Divorce Certificates

Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov announced that soon it will be possible to obtain marriage, divorce, and name change certificates in the 'Diia' app. Currently, Ukrainians have the opportunity to sign up for beta testing of the service.

According to Fedorov, thanks to this innovation, there will be no need to carry paper certificates, as they will always be at hand. Changing a surname or applying for benefits, these certificates can be used during job placement or receiving a package at 'Ukrposhta'.

The 'Diia' app will also automatically pull up the child's birth certificate by tax number. There will be no need to enter the series and number of the certificate. This will solve the problem when the mother changes her surname, and the child's certificate is not automatically pulled up because of this. Moreover, birth certificates of adult children will also be available.

However, documents will only be pulled up if they are already in the State Register of Civil Status Acts of Citizens.

The 'Diia' app has already successfully conducted the first wedding ceremonies for couples who used the service. More than five thousand couples have already signed up for beta testing of this function. Additionally, 'Diia' launched a new service e-Entrepreneur, which simplifies the process of starting a business. The government has adopted a resolution on the digitalization of booking, meaning that booking from mobilization will be carried out through 'Diia'.
