Taisia Nikolaevna Giriavec, in her first marriage Povaliy - a former Ukrainian singer. Member of the Ukrainian parliament VII. Also a member of the Party of Regions. Lives and works in Russia. On August 24, 2023, she obtained Russian citizenship.

In October 2022, sanctions were imposed on Taisia Povaliy by the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine. These sanctions include blocking assets, restricting trade transactions, banning capital exports, and revoking state awards.

Place of Birth. Education. Born in the village of Shamraevka in the Skvir district of Kyiv region. Graduated from a school in Bila Tserkva. In 1984, she graduated from the Glier Music School in Kyiv (Department of Choral Conducting and also optional classical singing).

Childhood and Youth. Grew up in a family where singing was loved and mastered. From a young age, Taya performed with a children's ensemble. Even as a child, she imagined herself as a famous singer, imitating her idols of that time and promising herself that she would become just as famous.

Povaliy features a strong, unusually dense timbre, with a voice that the singer masters virtuously. She dedicated herself to classical singing, and it was predicted that she would have a great operatic career. To this day, the singer is convinced that without this excellent school, which allowed her to master various types of singing - from operatic arias to soul style, her career would not have been as successful.

Career and Achievements. After graduating from music school, until 1990, she worked at the State Kyiv Music Hall - first in the vocal group, then as a soloist.

In 1990, Povaliy won the 'New Names' competition of the State Television and Radio of the USSR in Moscow. In 1993, she won the Grand Prix at the international art festival 'Slavic Bazaar' in Vitebsk. That same year, she also won the competition in memory of V. Ivasyuk 'A Song Will Be Between Us' in Chernivtsi.

A special chapter in the singer's career was the acquaintance and collaboration with the Russian singer Nikolai Baskov. In 2005, the duet for the song 'Let Me Go' received the prestigious 'Golden Gramophone' award. In 2006, this hit earned them the title of 'Best Duo of the Year' from Muz-TV.

Personal Life. 1982-1993 - first marriage with musician and keyboardist Vladimir Ivanovich Povaliy (born 1958), who worked at the Music Hall in Kyiv, produced playbacks, and now works as an arranger in the presidential orchestra. The marriage ended in divorce in 1993.

Since December 1993 - second marriage with Igor Likhuta (also - the singer's producer).

Son from the first marriage Denis Povaliy (born June 28, 1983). Studies at the Lyceum of Oriental Languages, graduated from the Institute of International Relations of the National Taras Shevchenko University in Kyiv, singer. In 2011, he reached the finale of the Ukrainian national selection for the Eurovision Song Contest.
