The Volyn Court acquitted a man accused by the TCC of evading mobilization.
The hearing of the case regarding the evasion of mobilization by a soldier took place in the Lubeshiv District Court of the Volyn region, resulting in the acquittal of the accused. The court made this decision on February 22 of this year.
Case Details
According to court materials, the soldier was designated for service after passing the military medical commission in October 2022. However, he was twice refused admission to military units due to health issues he reported. In December, he ignored the summons and did not appear at the military enlistment office.
Court Decision
During the court session, the accused admitted his guilt. He explained that he did not simulate illness, as he was accused of, but tried to provide real medical evidence. The head of the medical commission confirmed the presence of a chronic back problem, but this was not a basis for evading service. The court deemed the evidence insufficient to establish the guilt of the accused, and thus he was acquitted.
