According to Novyny.live: A terrorist attack in Lviv on February 22nd claimed the life of a 23-year-old police officer, Viktoriia Shpylka, and injured at least 24 people. The incident occurred overnight, with two explosions reported at 00:30 and approximately 00:43. This tragic event, part of a wider Russian assault on Ukraine, has caused significant public outcry. Lviv Mayor Andrii Sadovyi commented on the attack, stating:
“Russia is attacking. The Minister of Internal Affairs is currently working in Lviv.”
Official reports indicate that 19 of the injured were taken to medical facilities. Three were hospitalized at St. Luke's Hospital, and 15 at St. Panteleimon Hospital. A suspected female perpetrator has been detained in connection with the event, though details of her identity have not yet been disclosed.
