The term for the military-medical commission has been extended. The law has been signed.

The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky signed a law that extends the term for the military-medical commission for citizens with limited fitness until June 5, 2025. The aim of this initiative is to make the medical examination mandatory for these citizens and set a new deadline for its conduct.

Changes were made due to the fact that only 25% of citizens with limited fitness were able to undergo a repeated medical examination within the eight months of the law's operation, which caused non-compliance with the law within the specified Time.

With the new changes, the term for undergoing a medical examination for citizens with limited fitness became mandatory until June 5, 2025. Previously, this term was until February 4.

According to the new law, citizens are required to independently contact the TCC and SP or use the electronic cabinet of the draftee, military service member, and reservist to obtain a referral for the military-medical commission for a medical examination.

Yesterday, the Verkhovna Rada voted to extend the term for passing the repeated military-medical commission from February 4 to June 5, 2025.

As of January 24, 2025, more than 1 million citizens with limited fitness have been unable to undergo their repeated medical examination by February 4 due to large queues at the TCC.

At the beginning of January, a working meeting on the issue of passing the military-medical commission by those with limited fitness was held at the Office of the President, where it was agreed that the TCC would not impose fines on those who do not manage to pass the military-medical commission by February 5.

It is worth reminding that men aged 18-60 who have the status of 'limited fitness' are required to undergo a repeated medical examination according to the order of the Ministry of Defense No. 402. This order came into force along with the law 'On Amendments to Certain Laws of Ukraine Regarding Ensuring the Rights of Military Personnel and Police for Social Protection,' which was signed by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky on April 2.
