Model 3 Standard

The new Model 3 Standard has become the most affordable offering from the company, priced at $38,630, which already includes delivery and mandatory fees. This is $5,500 cheaper than the previous Model 3 Premium with rear-wheel drive.

The base version of the sedan is equipped with one electric motor, provides a range of approximately 517 km and accelerates to 96 km/h in 5.8 seconds.

To reduce costs, Tesla has removed a number of options: the car has a fabric interior, mechanical steering adjustment, as well as removed ventilation for the seats, a rear screen, and ambient lighting. The manufacturer simplified the suspension, reduced charging speed (170 miles in 15 minutes instead of 195), and removed the standard Autosteer feature. Only three body colors are available - white, black, and gray. Despite this, this version remains the most economical way to purchase a Tesla.

Sales of the Model 3 Standard will begin in December of this year or January of next.

Model Y Standard

The new base version Model Y Standard costs from $41,630 including delivery, which is $5,000 cheaper than the previous base configuration.

Model Y Standard has a power of 300 hp, rear-wheel drive, and a battery capacity of 69.5 kWh. According to official data, the crossover provides a range of 517 km on a single charge and accelerates to 96 km/h in 6.8 seconds. In comparison, the Premium version has a range of 574 km and accelerates in 5.4 seconds, while the Performance version has a range of 492 km in 3.3 seconds.

To reduce costs, the Model Y has been simplified: the panoramic roof was replaced with a metal one, leather seats with fabric ones. The interior has removed the lighting and rear screen for passengers, the steering wheel is now adjustable manually, and ventilation for the front seats and heating for the rear ones have been removed. The interior now only has the main 15.4-inch central display. The crossover comes with 18-inch wheels, 19-inch wheels are available for $1,500. The color range is limited to three options: basic gray Stealth Grey, with a surcharge for white Pearl White or black Diamond Black. For both new models, the Full Self-Driving (Supervised) system is available as an option for $8,000. Additionally, for Model Y, a tow hitch can be ordered for $1,000 (for a towing capacity of up to 1600 kg) and a home charging station ($450), which provides about 71 km of range per hour of charging. Even with all options, the Model Y Standard costs no more than $53,630, which is significantly lower than the price of the Performance version.

It is worth noting that it was previously reported that Tesla presented a six-seat version of Model Y in China.
