Brits Seek 16 Confidence-Boosting Aids Every Month
According to The Sun: A survey of 2,000 adults revealed that the biggest confidence boosters are receiving a compliment or general praise, spritzing favorite perfume, and knowing the answer to a quiz question.
Other confidence-boosting aids include wearing favorite clothing, doing things they thought were impossible, receiving a compliment on their smile, and getting a friendly smile from a stranger.
Such events really make a difference, as 83 percent of respondents stated that they can make 'a bad day good, and a good day even better.'
Rosemarie Maka from Philips Sonicare, which commissioned the research, said: 'We all need a lift every now and then, and it's interesting to see the range of what seem like simple everyday experiences that can significantly boost our confidence and make our day better by 20 times.'
The Majority of Adults Uplift Their Mood with Compliments and Smiles
It was also found that 29% believe they were most confident in their 20s, followed by 19% of people feeling most confident in their 30s.
A smile completes the physiognomy - for 55 percent, it is the most expressed trait of a confident person, followed by posture and stance (43 percent).
Similar research has shown how important it is to receive support and compliments from those around you for boosting self-confidence. Small events and actions can significantly improve our well-being and mood, making the day 20 times better.Read also
