Plopsaland Park invests £21 million in the largest expansion in its history.
Theme Park Expansion in Belgium
According to The Sun: The Plopsaland Belgium theme park, located in northern Belgium, is preparing for a grand expansion costing £21 million. This will be the largest expansion in the park's history, scheduled to open in two years.
instagram./@plopsa_official SuppliedThe park, which offers over 55 attractions including water slides and roller coasters, will feature a new area called Plopsaland Plaza. Here, visitors will enjoy bowling and visit the Grand Café, which serves dishes like beef goulash and steak tartare.
The Plopsa Express train, which will travel around the park, will also get a new station. Another new attraction will be the “Flying Cinema,” which will give visitors the sensation of flying before a large dome-shaped screen.
This new area is planned to open in 2027.
Popular Attractions of the Park
Among the most famous attractions at Plopsaland is the “Ride to Happiness,” which was named the best roller coaster in Europe in 2025 and ranks 5th in the world according to the Golden Ticket Awards.

There is also the SuperSplash water attraction with a pirate theme, where visitors plunge down 30 meters at a speed of 43 miles per hour.

Admission tickets to Plopsaland are €46 (£40.09) per person, and family tickets for up to six people are available for €37.50 (£32.69) per ticket.

Plopsaland Belgium is located near the town of Veurne, on the coast, close to the French border. The easiest way to get there from the UK is via Eurotunnel or taking a ferry to France, followed by a drive of about 45 minutes to Belgium.
This large European theme park, reachable from the UK in under three hours, successfully competes with Disney and Universal in the race for the title of best theme park in the world.
