Situated in a former library, listed as a Grade II heritage site, St Matthew's House features Greek architecture with grand columns and is set to undergo its second renovation in two years.The popular Wetherspoons venue in Walsall has received approval for changes to the pub just a year after the last ones. Plans include creating a new entrance in the wall facing Lichfield Street, installing gates, a disabled ramp, and redoing part of the outdoor seating area. Additionally, there are plans to refurbish the lounge, including replacing softwood panels with hardwood ones.It has been less than a year since the previous changes were made to the pub in 2024 when it reopened after a £300,000 renovation.
