Tunisia is popular again: tourists return after a decade-long hiatus.
Tourism in Tunisia is on the rise again
According to The Sun: Tunisia is becoming a popular holiday destination once more, especially due to its warm winters, beaches, and picturesque mountain landscapes.
This African country was a favorite spot for British tourists until the tragic events in Sousse ten years ago, but new data shows a revival of interest in visiting Tunisia.
AlamyTunisia offers a vast number of opportunities for autumn and winter vacations, with bright sunshine, the sea, and sandy beaches. In November, temperatures can reach 20°C, making it an ideal place for beach relaxation.
Among the most popular beaches are Hammamet, known for its long sandy shores, and Sousse, a picturesque resort town.
Recovery of tourist flows
According to statistics, the number of foreign tourists visiting Tunisia increased by almost 10% compared to 2024 and reached 5.3 million by July 20, according to the National Tourism Office.
The government aims to attract up to 11 million visitors by the end of the year, which is a million more than last year.

The charm of Tunisian cities
Close to the capital is the town of Sidi Bou Said, which impresses with its white houses and cobbled streets. Here you can find plenty of al fresco restaurants and small art galleries.
Tunisia is becoming an attractive destination for tourists thanks to its friendly residents and Ottoman-style architecture.
Head of Sun Travel, Lisa Minot, recently visited the island of Djerba and noted its resemblance to the Greek islands. She said:
“In the summer, temperatures remain high until November and rarely drop below 20°C, making it ideal for those who want to enjoy the sun in the off-season.”
