TUI Opens Hotels in Oman: What the New Resort Country Has to Offer.
Oman Opens New Opportunities for Tourism
According to The Sun: White beaches, orange desert dunes, and a vibrant market — this is how Oman looks as it becomes an increasingly popular tourist destination.
This country on the southeast coast of the Arabian Peninsula, bordering the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Yemen, has not been traditionally regarded as a classic holiday spot, but that may change with TUI's new plans.

TUI has announced its intention to build five new hotels in Oman to boost tourism, particularly along the beaches. The new hotels will be located in the Dhofar governorate, the largest city of which is Salalah.
The opening of the first hotel is scheduled for 2027, with the rest set to follow in subsequent years. Oman boasts an ideal climate with temperatures ranging from 20 to 25°C during the winter period.
Cultural and Natural Attractions
The capital of Oman, Muscat, is surrounded by mountains, deserts, and the sea. Here, one can find many Eastern markets with handcrafted goods and visit the Grand Sultan Qaboos Mosque — the main architectural landmark of the country.
“Sultan Qaboos is the largest mosque in Oman, featuring an enormous dome and a world-famous carpet made by 400 Iranian weavers.”
Oman is also famous for its beautiful beaches, such as Al Qurum Beach in Muscat and Al Mughsail Beach in Salalah. Tourists can enjoy swimming, diving, camping in the desert, and turtle watching.

Transport and Accessibility
Currently, there is one direct flight from the UK to Oman, operated by Oman Air from London to Muscat, taking about seven hours. Traveling to other cities, such as Salalah, will require a connection.
Considering TUI's plans for opening new hotels, one can expect new flights to appear in the coming years.
