The most beautiful village in the world recognized in the United Kingdom

These cottages were built in 1380 as storage for wool and later transformed into homes for weavers in the 17th century. It is said that this place inspired the creator of 'The Lord of the Rings' J.R.R. Tolkien.
If you want to stay on Arlington Row, one of the accommodations can be rented as a holiday home owned by the National Trust. It is a cozy two-bedroom house featuring a comfortable living room with a fireplace and a lovely garden.
The River Coln flows through Bibury, and most tourists try to take pictures of the village from one of the three bridges.
The publication highlights Bibury Trout Farm, which 'invites visitors to feed the fish or enjoy a picnic by the river.'
'St. Mary's Church also offers a moment of peace amidst ancient stones.'
The village is filled with the scent of lavender and freshly baked marshmallows – it is hard to imagine a more English atmosphere.
About 600 residents live in the village, and an annual popular event takes place here – plastic duck races on the second day of Christmas, when thousands of ducks are released into the river.
In Bibury, there is also a cozy pub 'Catherine Wheel', where you can taste classic British dishes and beer. You can also visit Bibury Trout Farm, which has wonderful spots for relaxation by the water.
Guests are offered 22 rooms to stay with an average price of about £300 per night.

Although Bibury has been recognized as the most beautiful in the world, there are other beautiful villages in the Cotswolds. For example, Whitney is often overlooked but boasts cozy streets, a popular teddy bear shop, local cafes, and a wildlife reserve.
Castle Combe is also worth mentioning – a popular village that has served as a set for Hollywood blockbusters such as 'Stardust' and 'War Horse' by Steven Spielberg. Here you can find a village with its own sandy beach and lagoon – far from the English coast.

The recognition of Bibury as the most beautiful village in the world draws attention to traditional English villages and their unique architecture. It highlights the importance of preserving cultural heritage and natural beauty that attract tourists from all over the world.
Such recognition may contribute to the development of tourism in the region, which in turn will positively impact the local economy and support small businesses.
