New cruise ship for the American market

According to The Sun: The Italian cruise company MSC spared no effort in creating a ship for the American market.

More than 100 million viewers witnessed Hollywood stars Drew Barrymore and

They were once again onboard when the 1 billion pound vessel departed on its maiden voyage from the new MSC cruise terminal in Miami.

Following a lavish ceremony, during which Drew's godmother smashed a traditional bottle of champagne, it can be confidently asserted that this enormous ship has become a true star of the show.

Representing a sister ship to MSC World Europa, a third of the public spaces onboard have been adapted to cater to the needs of American tourists, while retaining elegant European design.

Amazing onboard entertainment

The ship features 22 decks with 2,614 cabins, capable of accommodating 6,700 guests, as well as 19 restaurants and 18 bars and lounges.

One of the main differences is the first Eataly restaurant at sea - an elite Italian establishment with open kitchens where chefs offer pasta made from scratch and dishes with premium ingredients.

For a more relaxed meal, the All Stars Sports Bar outdoors offers signature drinks, beers, burgers, and the chance to watch the latest competitions.

World Promenade is the perfect spot for evening strolls and drinks after dinner - a cozy promenade with outdoor venues.

The area formerly known as Raj Polo Tea House has now become The Loft, a comedy club with karaoke and dueling pianists.

Private island

All cruises aboard MSC World America include a visit to the company's private island in the Bahamas - Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve.

Unlike other cruise companies, environmental preservation has become the main priority of this paradise.

The former sand mining site has been transformed by MSC: here waste has been cleared and 75,000 trees have been planted.

The surrounding waters are now a protected marine reserve where MSC is working to restore coral reefs and reintroduce marine species.

For those looking to relax, there are eight white sand beaches with calm, shallow waters available.

Onboard there are also seven pools for relaxation, including La Plage, Zen for adults, and the Botanic Garden pool under a sliding dome.

When it comes to dining, a variety of restaurants, buffets, and fast food are available on board, including pizza and pasta that align with the Italian cruise concept.

The Eataly restaurant, as well as The Butcher’s Cut steakhouse and Kaito Teppanyaki offer dishes priced from 25 to 60 pounds per person.

Breakfast and dinner are served here earlier than on the MSC World Europa to cater to the tastes of American guests.

There are also plenty of entertainment options on board: West End-style shows at the World Theatre and live music on the World Promenade.
