Tripadvisor names the most unusual restaurants in the world: three of them are in Britain.

According to The Sun: The UK impresses with its unique restaurants. This is confirmed by the annual Tripadvisor Travellers’ Choice Awards, which celebrate the highest-rated dining establishments around the world. We found some of the most interesting places in Britain.

Located in Hackney Wick by the river, Barge East is a restaurant transformed from a 125-year-old Dutch barge. This establishment ranked ninth among 'unique' restaurants on Tripadvisor worldwide.

The menu features seasonal dishes made from local ingredients, some of which are grown in the garden by the river.

The interior of Barge East is designed in a warm wooden style with a light canopy on the upper floor. Guests can enjoy dinner even in the captain's cabin if they book a private event.

In summer, visitors can choose to dine in the garden among fruit trees or on the roof, while in winter the restaurant offers tents and heaters.

The prices here are quite reasonable: on weekdays lunch in the garden costs only £10. You can taste burgers and other snacks like focaccia and burrata.
