According to The Sun: Located in West Cornwall, the small village of Angarrack was once home to Hollywood star Kate Winslet.

This place is worth a visit, as it features an award-winning pub, one of the best beaches in the UK, and plenty of picturesque parking spots for relaxation.

The village is just a few miles from one of the best beaches in the country.

Kate Winslet, known for her role in 'Titanic', 'Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind', and 'True Love', lived in Angarrack from 1998 to 2001.

Her former Japanese-style home, called Pole House, is back on the market.

About 300 people live in the charming Angarrack, and the only pub — Angarrack Inn — serves traditional dishes and hosts various events, including quizzes, festive parties for Halloween and Christmas.

In 2010, the pub won the 'Best Rural Pub of the Year' award, and in 2024 it earned recognition as 'Travellers' Choice'.

One visitor described it as a 'hidden gem', while another wrote that they got 'the best pub menu in this part of Cornwall'.

The village is also located just 2.5 miles from one of the best beaches in the UK.

Last year, Towans at Hayle was recognized as the winner in the 'Top 50 UK Beaches' list by the Times.

This publication analyzed 543 beaches based on several criteria, such as parking, toilets, cafes, dog-friendliness, and water quality.

The Beauty of Towans Beaches

They said: “1,700 acres of untouched nature with sands, cliffs, and dunes around the landscape, away from the crowded St Ives.”

“Here you can find stunning sunsets, water sports equipment rental, and two wonderful cafes (Cove Café and Jam Pot Café).”
