Sober September: how quitting beer and wine can help you save money.
According to The Sun: Saturday October has begun — a great opportunity to review your health and save money.
On average, a household spends about £800 a year on alcohol. By giving it up for a month, you could bring back about £65 to your budget.

THINK ALCOHOL-FREE
Plan your actions ahead. Remind yourself why you are participating in the challenge — whether to save money, improve health, or raise funds for charity.
Decide what you will replace your usual drinks with. Collect the money you save in a jar and use it as a reward at the end of the challenge.
Document your experiences throughout the month, celebrating improvements in sleep or increases in willpower.
Add a new healthy habit, like light exercise, for even greater success.
FANTASTIC MOCKTAILS
To reduce the feeling of restriction, experiment with non-alcoholic cocktails.
Try a fall drink for the company. Pour 500 ml of cloudy apple juice, 250 ml of spicy ginger beer into a saucepan, add a cinnamon stick, two cloves, a pinch of ginger, and half an orange, sliced.
Heat slowly and simmer for five minutes, then add a teaspoon of honey or maple syrup.
For a festive drink for one, fill a champagne flute halfway with cranberry juice, squeeze in a bit of lime, then top with non-alcoholic sparkling wine. Add berries for garnish.
