According to The Sun: The Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA) has announced the winners of the Pub of the Year 2025 competition, among which is the Hole in the Wall in Cornwall. The bar is located in the town of Bodmin and has been recognized as the best pub in the South West region of CAMRA.
The pub is situated in a former debtor's prison, where people were held if they had debts. The pub's name comes from the fact that food for the inmates was served through a hole in the wall.
Inside the pub, you can see some amazing things, including a displayed lion in a glass case. Additionally, the pub boasts a courtyard.
Furthermore, the Hole in the Wall has been recognized as the best pub in the South West region, and now it will compete for the title of overall winner of CAMRA's Pub of the Year, with the winner to be announced in January 2026.
