According to Novyny.live: Which car brands have the best chance of reaching 400,000 kilometers? A study by iSeeCars examined 32 popular brands to find out. Toyota came out on top with 17.8% of its vehicles hitting that milestone, far above the industry average of 4.8%. This wide gap highlights major differences in long-term durability across manufacturers.

The top four most dependable brands are as follows:
- Toyota — 17.8%
- Lexus — 12.8%
- Honda — 10.8%
- Acura — 7.2%
These brands showed the strongest performance in the study, proving they can handle high mileage with few major mechanical issues.
Other results show GMC and Tesla each have a 4.6% probability of reaching 400,000 km, while Chevrolet and Cadillac sit at 4.5%. Mazda comes in at 3.6%, and Ram at 3.5%. Ford (3.1%) and Lincoln (3.4%) rank lower. Volvo, Mercedes-Benz, Kia, and Hyundai post rates of 2.2%, 1.7%, and 0.6% respectively. The lowest chances belong to Porsche, BMW, and Volkswagen, all under 0.5%. Jaguar, MINI, and Maserati show a 0% likelihood of hitting the 400,000 km mark.
These findings can help consumers who are shopping for a car and want to gauge its longevity and reliability. Factoring in the odds of achieving high mileage may guide brand and model choices, leading to a better ownership experience and lower repair costs down the road. The data could also push automakers to improve their engineering to stay competitive in reliability.
