A terrible event occurred in the city of Kochani, North Macedonia, on the night of March 16. During a concert by the band DNK at the 'Pulse' nightclub, a fire broke out, resulting in the deaths of 51 people.
According to the Macedonian agency MIA, the fire started due to the use of pyrotechnics.
The Minister of Internal Affairs, Panche Toskovski, confirmed that 51 people died as a result of the fire. More than a hundred injured were hospitalized in various cities of North Macedonia.
Currently, rescue services are working at the scene of the tragedy to determine the causes of the fire. Local authorities have declared a day of mourning. Witnesses describe the panic and chaos that ensued in the club after the fire broke out.
'We smelled smoke, and then everyone started to panic. People tried to escape, but there were too few exits,' one witness said.
It is also worth mentioning that a well-known activist was murdered in the center of Odessa.
