Andrew was reported missing after he left his home near Marbella on August 15.

Friends expressed their concern, suggesting that something bad may have happened to him.

On Saturday, the National Police discovered a body believed to be his.

A police spokesperson stated that the body was found during a 'large-scale search operation.'

“During [the morning], an exhaustive investigation was conducted, examining the steps that [Andrew Wade] might have taken leading up to the day of his disappearance,” they said.

It is known that he planned to return home. When his last movements became known, investigators, along with local agencies, began a large-scale search.

The representative emphasized that drones were used to survey the area.

“As it is a wooded area with thick underbrush, the search results were not positive,” they noted.
“Today, investigators finally discovered the body in an area known as Paraiso.'

The identity and cause of death are currently awaiting confirmation.

While official information from the National Police remains unclear, sources claim that the body most likely belongs to Mr. Wade.

When news of Andrew's disappearance broke, his friends noted that he had left his two cats behind, which 'was very uncharacteristic of him.'

He was described as a 'wonderful' person by acquaintances.

SOS Desaparecidos - a Spanish charity dealing with missing persons' cases - urged anyone with information to come forward.

It is noted that at the time of his disappearance, Andrew was driving a black Volkswagen Golf.

Sad story of disappearance

The disappearance of Mr. Wade occurred against the backdrop of another tragedy involving a British tourist in Greece.

Michelle Burda, 59, was on vacation with her husband when she mysteriously disappeared from her sun lounger.

She vanished on August 1, sitting next to her sleeping husband.

Months later, a passing yachtsman stumbled upon her body floating near Fidonsi island, only 40 km from the place of her disappearance.

Medical experts found no suspicious circumstances, believing that she likely drowned.

“There were no other injuries… I concluded that her death resulted from drowning in the water,” stated forensic expert Nikos Kifnidis.
“The bathing suit in which she was, purchased in Britain, became the main evidence of her identification,” he added.

The tragedy of Andrew Wade's disappearance and the story of Michelle Burda highlight the numerous dangers that tourists face while on vacation, and the importance of safety in foreign countries. As the investigation continues, friends and family are left hoping for clarity in these tragic cases.
