Trump wants Zelensky to make territorial concessions and resign - NBC News.
US President Donald Trump is apparently not going to continue providing assistance to Ukraine after signing a deal on minerals, reports the 'Glavcom' website citing NBC News sources.
It is also noted that Trump wishes to change the approach to negotiations with President Volodymyr Zelensky. He expects readiness for concessions, such as the ceding of territories to Russia.
According to sources, Trump wants to sign a deal in which the US will receive a share of Ukrainian mineral resources.
Moreover, Trump expects steps from Zelensky towards elections in Ukraine and possibly his resignation.
It is reported that the US has no evidence that the cessation of intelligence sharing had a direct impact on Russian aerial attacks against Ukraine. There is speculation that these attacks were planned before the cessation of intelligence sharing and assistance.
Earlier it was reported that the Trump administration halted the provision of crucial support for jamming systems for the Ukrainian Air Force, which could significantly deteriorate their ability to counter in the air.
