Ukrainian ex-Minister of Foreign Affairs Pavlo Klimkin expressed his thoughts on possible sanctions that US President Donald Trump may impose on countries supporting Russia, such as China, India, Brazil, and others.
Impact of Sanctions on the Russian Economy
“And this means that illegal imports to Russia will become even more expensive. They will still organize it, but it all costs a lot. The Russian economy is declining. Unfortunately slowly, but it is declining.”
Such actions may worsen the economic situation in Russia. It is important to note that President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky sees a possible significant impact of Trump on the political situation in Russia.
Moreover, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz calls on the American leader to provide Ukraine with more weapons to support the country in the conflict with Russia.
Pavlo Klimkin noted that possible sanctions from Trump against aiding countries could seriously affect the Russian economy, and also confirmed the views of the President of Ukraine and the German Chancellor on this situation.Read also
