U.S. President Donald Trump stated that negotiations with Russia were successful and the Russians want to end the war. He also supports the potential deployment of European peacekeepers in Ukraine after a peace agreement is reached.

This is a senseless war. It should never have happened. It would never have happened if I were president,

Trump emphasized.

Regarding the presence of peacekeepers, the U.S. president noted: 'If they want to do it - great. I agree with that. France has spoken about this, the United Kingdom as well.' He also stressed that the U.S. does not need to deploy its military because of the great distance.

Trump also expressed concern about elections in Ukraine. 'We have a situation where there have been no elections in Ukraine due to martial law. Zelensky... I don’t like to say this, but his rating has fallen to 4%,' he stated, not naming the source of this data.

The U.S. president accused Ukraine of financial violations. 'The U.S. has provided more than 300 billion dollars, while Europe has given less than 100 billion. But for them, it is more important than for us. We are separated by an ocean, and it's not a problem for them,' Trump emphasized.

Trump also condemned the lack of control over the aid provided. According to him, President Zelensky 'does not know where half of the money that the U.S. gave is.' The American leader emphasized that Ukraine needs to figure out where the funds went.

'Where is that money?' Trump asked, emphasizing the lack of accountability regarding the use of financial aid.

In response to a question about Ukraine's absence at the negotiating table in Saudi Arabia, Trump criticized Kyiv's position. 'Are they sad that they don’t have a place at the table? They had one for three years and even longer. This could have been very simply resolved. Even a weak negotiator could have reached an agreement years ago - almost without loss of territory, without casualties, without destroyed cities,' he stated.
