Trump has passed the cognitive test for the third time: what he said about the results.
According to ТСН: U.S. President Donald Trump reported that he recently successfully took his third cognitive test, responding to rumors about his age and possible memory problems.
This information was shared during a Republican House of Representatives retreat.
“We need to give everyone cognitive tests. I am the only president who has taken cognitive tests. Every president and vice president should be forced to take exams. Tests on mental abilities, for example, are they smart?”
Trump also shared on social media that, besides a few “long, thorough, and very boring medical examinations,” he “has taken the cognitive function test three times, the last time recently.”
“I passed all three exams with flying colors in front of a large number of doctors and experts, most of whom I do not know. I was told that few people managed to pass this exam with flying colors, and, in fact, most do very poorly, which is why many other presidents decided not to take it at all.”
As reported by Bloomberg, 79-year-old Trump stated his results after publications in the New York Times, which mentioned that his public schedule has become more limited than during his first term. The article cited instances where, during meetings, he often closed his eyes for a long time.
“I really think this is incitement, and possibly treason, when The New York Times and other media constantly publish false reports for the purpose of defamation and humiliation.”
It was also noted that Trump's predecessor, Joe Biden, often faced questions about his health during his presidency and eventually had to suspend his campaign after a poor performance in debates against Trump.
Earlier, Trump also expressed views on the production of American weapons.
The situation surrounding the health of politicians constantly raises complaints and cautious comments. Controversies regarding cognitive tests and the age of leaders remain relevant in the political world, as they affect voters' perception of their ability to fulfill their duties. In this context, Trump's reaction to criticism confirms his intention to remain active in political life despite rumors about his health.
