Trump claims 'great progress' in negotiations between Russia and Ukraine on ceasefire.
U.S. President Donald Trump reported having 'deep discussions' with Russia and Ukraine regarding a peaceful resolution to the conflict. According to him, 'great progress' has been made in these negotiations.
The American leader stated that the U.S. is engaged in deep discussions with Ukraine and Russia concerning peaceful resolution following talks in Saudi Arabia.
Trump noted that currently, five or six demands from Russia regarding the ceasefire are under consideration, and the U.S. is working on these documents. Among the issues discussed is a possible ceasefire in the Black Sea.
The U.S. President also emphasized that third countries are planned to be involved in the monitoring process for the ceasefire regime.
Additionally, Trump stated that he would consider Russia's request for sanctions relief in the context of potential ceasefire agreements.
Recall that Zelensky commented on the agreements with the U.S. in Saudi Arabia.
