Trump Excludes South Africa from G20 in Miami: States Reason for Decision.
According to ТСН: U.S. President Donald Trump announced that South Africa would not receive an invitation to the upcoming G20 summit, which will take place in Miami.
On his social network Truth Social, he reiterated accusations, claiming that in South Africa, allegedly, "whites are being killed" and "their farms are being seized without any restrictions."
"The worst part is that soon the bankrupt New York Times and fake news media won't say a word against this genocide," wrote the U.S. president.
Trump also noted that after the previous G20 summit, South Africa refused to hand over the presidency to the senior U.S. representative who attended the closing ceremony. This was one of the reasons Washington will not invite South Africa to participate in the upcoming summit.
"Therefore, by my order, South Africa will not receive an invitation to the G20 summit in 2026, which will take place in the beautiful city of Miami, Florida, next year," stated Trump.
Furthermore, Trump confirmed that the United States is "halting all payments and subsidies" to South Africa.
Earlier, the U.S. president criticized the South African government for allegedly condoning the persecution of so-called "Afrikaners." He also withdrew from participating in the G20 summit that would be held in the Republic of South Africa, stating that South Africa should not be a member of this group of leading economies.
Trump's statements reflect tensions in the relationship between the U.S. and South Africa. The refusal of an invitation and the cessation of financial aid could significantly impact future cooperation between the two countries. Events surrounding the G20 summit also indicate a shift in the dynamics of international politics in the context of global security and economic issues.
