Trump named his New Year’s resolution: Peace throughout the world.

According to ТСН: U.S. President Donald Trump celebrated New Year’s 2026 at his Mar-a-Lago estate. During a conversation with journalists, he stated his New Year’s wish.

As always, Trump celebrated at the New Year’s reception in Mar-a-Lago, Florida, together with First Lady Melania Trump.

Charity Auction

During the New Year’s celebrations at Mar-a-Lago, a charity auction took place. One of the lots was a painting depicting Jesus which was sold for 2.75 million dollars. Half of the collected funds were donated to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, while the other half went to the local sheriff's office.

Among the honorary guests of the event were Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his wife.

Progress in Peace Negotiations

On December 29, Trump reported significant progress in resolving the conflict in Ukraine after meeting with President Volodymyr Zelensky in Florida, estimating the agreed issues at 'about 95%'.
