Trump called the operation to capture Maduro brilliant: reaction from Venezuela.
According to ТСН: U.S. President Donald Trump praised the operation to capture Venezuelan leader Nicolas Maduro, calling it 'brilliant.'
In a comment to the newspaper, Trump noted:
'A lot of great planning, a lot of great troops and great people. It was a brilliant operation, really.'
When asked about a possible request to Congress for permission to carry out the operation and further actions in Venezuela, Trump replied that he would discuss these issues at his press conference in Mar-a-Lago.
Trump also wrote in his post on Truth Social about the detention of Nicolas Maduro and his removal from the country, stating that the U.S. dealt a serious blow to Venezuela.
At the same time, Venezuela's Defense Minister Vladimir Padrino Lopez claims that the country has become a victim of military aggression from the U.S. He added that the enemy attempted to break through gas communications in various areas, targeting civilian objects with combat helicopters.
This situation highlights the tensions in relations between the U.S. and Venezuela. Operations of this magnitude always raise concerns both in the international community and within the country itself, as they can lead to new conflicts and escalate violence. Trump's position and the response from the Venezuelan authorities demonstrate the importance of strategic decisions in modern politics.
