US President Donald Trump said he wants a quick ceasefire in Ukraine. The head of the White House 'will be upset' if it does not happen today. He stated this to reporters.
Trump's Statement
At the same time, Trump emphasized that few believe the war will end today.
'I want to see a ceasefire quickly. I don’t know if it will happen today, but I will not be happy if it does not happen today. Everyone said it can't be today, but I'm just saying I want the killings to stop', — said the US president.
Let us remind you that today at 22:00 there will be a meeting between Trump and Putin in Alaska. Trump made a statement regarding security guarantees for Ukraine, while he excluded the possibility of Ukraine joining NATO.
In his statement, the US president expressed hope for a quick end to the conflict in Ukraine, although reality does not allow for optimistic predictions. There will also be a meeting between Trump and Putin, where security issues for Ukraine and its future in the context of NATO will be discussed.
