The administration of U.S. President Donald Trump decided not to impose tariffs on smartphones and computers.
This decision is significant for companies that produce electronics, particularly Apple.
The introduction of tariffs on products made in China has significantly impacted iPhone production, forcing Apple to increase production in India and ship some smartphones from there.
According to data from the U.S. investment bank Wedbush Securities, approximately 90% of Apple's iPhone manufacturing and assembly occurs in China.
This demonstrates how trade policy can affect companies and consumers.
It is also worth noting that Trump continues to change immigration policy, tightening border controls with Mexico.
