This hotel will be part of the Atlantic Wharf project, scheduled for completion in 2028. The project promises to transform Cardiff Bay into a vibrant place for entertainment.

Travelodge has announced the opening of a new hotel in Cardiff, located just a five-minute walk from Cardiff Bay station.
The hotel will have 182 rooms and its own restaurant called 85 Bar Café.
The construction work has already begun, and the hotel will be located in the Cardiff Bay area known as Atlantic Wharf. In addition to the hotel, a large arena will be built, intended for musicians, comedians, and sporting events, with a maximum capacity of up to 16,500 people.
The new arena is expected to 'revitalize' Cardiff Bay and costs £300 million, according to Wales Online.
Project Plan
The project consists of four separate phases. The first phase involves work on the arena and the hotel, which are set to open next year.
- First phase: start of work on the arena and hotel, construction of a multi-storey car park.
- Second phase: upgrading the shops in the Red Dragon shopping and leisure center.
- Third phase: construction of a large office building and a four-star hotel with 150 rooms.
- Fourth phase: new residential houses, shops, and offices.

Future Opportunities
A new cultural center for the Wales Millennium Centre and the National Gallery of Art is also planned to be built.
Additionally, a unique floating hotel with 120 rooms will be developed as part of the project, located near the Aqua Park Cardiff.
