According to FREEДOM: Ankara is considering the possibility of sending troops to Ukraine as part of security guarantees. This was reported by the Ukrainian ambassador to Turkey, Nariman Jelal.
According to him, Turkey is also ready to join at least the post-war demining of the Black Sea. The ambassador noted that he discussed these issues during a conversation with Turkey's Minister of Defense, Yasar Güler.
'Turkey is ready to join the demining of the Black Sea in the near future. In addition, the country is considering the possibility of participating in humanitarian civilian demining on land. Turkey has also entered the top ten countries that are potentially ready to send their troops to Ukraine as part of providing security guarantees. We welcome such initiatives,' said the Ukrainian ambassador to Turkey.
Earlier, Estonia's Prime Minister Kristen Mihal stated that Estonia is ready to participate in the upcoming peacekeeping operation in Ukraine with forces of up to one company.
