Transcarpathia Achieved Record Tourist Revenue: Leaders Named.
According to inkorr.com: Transcarpathia continues to strengthen its position as one of the main tourist regions of Ukraine. In the first nine months of 2025, the region collected over 21 million UAH
in tourist tax, which is 40% more than last year. This was
reportedby the Department of Tourism and Resorts of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration.
Largest Incomes
According to the administration's information, the main income was received by communities with developed recreational infrastructure. In particular:
- Polyana — 4.7 million UAH;
- Uzhhorod — 3.4 million UAH;
- Koson (Kosyno) — 1.5 million UAH.
Reasons for Tax Growth
The increase in the tourist tax in
Transcarpathiais attributed to the rise in the number of domestic travels and the popularity of local resorts among Ukrainians. This trend is supported not only by tourists but also by entrepreneurs who are actively developing the hotel sector, thermal complexes, and sanatoriums.
Restoration of the Tourism Industry
Representatives of the Regional State Administration emphasize that the positive dynamics indicate a gradual recovery of the tourism industry after difficult years. In addition to traditional destinations, there is a growing interest in green tourism, gastronomic routes, and SPA vacations.
It was previously reported that in the first half of 2025,
the tourist tax across Ukrainereached a total of 146 million UAH, most of which was provided by domestic tourism.
Such indicators indicate the recovery of the tourism sector in Ukraine and the active development of domestic tourism. Transcarpathia remains an attractive destination for many Ukrainians, offering a wide range of opportunities for recreation and entertainment.
