in tourist tax
, which is 40% more than last year. This was
reported
by the Department of Tourism and Resorts of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration.

  • Polyana — 4.7 million UAH;
  • Uzhhorod — 3.4 million UAH;
  • Koson (Kosyno) — 1.5 million UAH.

Reasons for Tax Growth

The increase in the tourist tax in

Transcarpathia
is attributed to the rise in the number of domestic travels and the popularity of local resorts among Ukrainians. This trend is supported not only by tourists but also by entrepreneurs who are actively developing the hotel sector, thermal complexes, and sanatoriums.

Restoration of the Tourism Industry

Representatives of the Regional State Administration emphasize that the positive dynamics indicate a gradual recovery of the tourism industry after difficult years. In addition to traditional destinations, there is a growing interest in green tourism, gastronomic routes, and SPA vacations.

It was previously reported that in the first half of 2025,

the tourist tax across Ukraine
reached a total of 146 million UAH, most of which was provided by domestic tourism.

Such indicators indicate the recovery of the tourism sector in Ukraine and the active development of domestic tourism. Transcarpathia remains an attractive destination for many Ukrainians, offering a wide range of opportunities for recreation and entertainment.
