Tusk predicted the start of peace negotiations regarding the war in Ukraine.
Poland prepares for possible peace negotiations regarding Ukraine
Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk stated that Poland is preparing for possible peace negotiations regarding Ukraine as early as this winter. According to Reuters, Warsaw plans to play a leading role in the conflict resolution process considering its presidency in the EU starting January 1.
'I will hold a series of negotiations that will primarily concern the situation at our eastern border,' Tusk said during a government meeting. The Polish delegation is co-responsible for the political calendar and potential negotiations that may begin this winter.
Meeting of President Zelensky with leaders of France and the USA
The Polish Prime Minister also reported that French President Emmanuel Macron will visit Warsaw to discuss the results of the negotiations with the newly elected US President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, which took place last weekend in Paris.
President Zelensky expressed support for a diplomatic resolution to the conflict in Ukraine, but expressed doubt about Putin's willingness to end the conflict. In response, the Kremlin stated that the war will continue until the goals set by Putin are achieved.
