New opportunities for Manchester and Birmingham
According to The Sun: Manchester and Birmingham may soon have railway connections to Paris, Brussels, and Amsterdam thanks to the Channel Tunnel. Virgin has announced its plans to launch these routes if it manages to win the tender for transport through the Channel.
If the project is realized, trains will run through the main line of the West Coast.
"We are very excited about the new variables we are offering, as it opens up new travel opportunities," - noted Virgin representatives.
This initiative could significantly improve connectivity between the UK and continental Europe, opening new opportunities for tourists and businesses. The railway connection will provide a convenient and fast way to travel, which will undoubtedly benefit the development of the regions.
