The Nightjet train running between Paris and Berlin and Vienna will stop operating from December 2025.

The ÖBB railway operator stated that the reason for the cancellation of routes was the French government's decision to withdraw financial support.

In its statement, ÖBB noted:

“The French railway company SNCF Voyageurs has been informed by the Ministry of Transport in Paris that state contracts for night trains Vienna-Paris and Berlin-Paris will be terminated from 2026.”

“Night trains can only operate with the participation of international partners. ÖBB regrets that after the withdrawal of French partners, both night routes will no longer be offered from December 14, 2025.”
