Joe Biden has been diagnosed with an aggressive form of prostate cancer
The team of the 82-year-old former President of the United States reported that he has been diagnosed with prostate cancer with metastases to the bones. Biden underwent a medical examination last week due to symptoms, and doctors determined the diagnosis at the final stage, assessing the tumor's condition as 9 points on the Gleason scale with metastases to bone tissue.
A spokesman for the former president stated that the tumor is aggressive but hormone-sensitive, opening up possibilities for effective treatment. Currently, Biden, along with family and medical professionals, is seeking optimal therapy options.
The current president, Donald Trump, wished Biden a speedy recovery, expressing support and sympathy.
Barack Obama also expressed support and faith in Biden's fight against the disease, emphasizing his recognized contribution to the development of cancer treatment methods.
Kamala Harris, the Democratic candidate, called Biden a true fighter and wished him a full recovery.
