The White House Explained Why Japan and South Korea Support Ukraine.

Ukraine is receiving active support from Japan and South Korea due to China's policies in the region and under the leadership of U.S. President Joe Biden.
This was stated by John Kirby, coordinator for strategic communications at the U.S. National Security Council, during a press briefing in Washington.
'Did you ever imagine that countries like Japan and South Korea would be willing to support a country like Ukraine in its war against Russia? This did not happen by chance. It happened due to President Biden's leadership, and because these countries know that others are watching what is happening in Ukraine - particularly China - and are trying to draw lessons from it,' said the U.S. administration representative.
According to him, both Tokyo and Seoul understand how the situation in Ukraine affects the Indo-Pacific region.
Kirby emphasized that the outgoing administration has done everything possible to ensure that Ukraine has strong positions in any potential negotiations to end the war.
'We want President Zelensky - if and when he is ready to sit at the negotiating table - to have a position of strength,' he explained.
At the same Time, he noted that Russia still has not shown readiness for constructive dialogue. Additionally, Putin's strategic goals have not changed - he wants to conquer all of Ukraine.
Kirby noted that Russia has failed to achieve any of its stated goals due to the courage and valor of Ukrainians and U.S. leadership in the 'Ramstein' group.
He added that the question of U.S. policy regarding the war with Russia in Ukraine will be addressed by the new administration.
