Heating System in Burshtyn Restored at Reduced Capacity Following Attack.
Heat Supply Returns to Burshtyn
According to Novyny.live: In the town of Burshtyn, Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast, efforts to restore the heating system are ongoing after a hostile attack. While the system is now operational, it is not yet running at full capacity. The temperature of the heat transfer fluid this morning was approximately 55 degrees Celsius, which is insufficient to provide adequate comfort for residents.
Due to this situation, schools in Burshtyn have shifted to remote learning to reduce strain on the compromised heating network. Kindergartens have organized duty groups with supplementary heating to maintain comfortable conditions for children. These measures are necessary because of the ongoing limitations in the heat supply system.
Attacks on Energy Infrastructure Continue
It is important to note that Russia's ongoing attacks on Ukraine's energy infrastructure are creating widespread challenges for stable heat and electricity supply. As Vasyl Andriieshyn stated:
“The system has been launched, but it is not yet operating at full capacity.” - Vasyl Andriieshyn
Local authorities are working to resolve the issue and ensure comfortable conditions for Burshtyn residents during the heating season.
The situation in Burshtyn reflects a broader national struggle, as Ukraine's civilian infrastructure remains a frequent target in the war. These attacks on energy facilities cause critical delays in restoring heating services, which are especially vital during winter months. The shift to remote schooling and the creation of special kindergarten groups demonstrate the local administration's efforts to adapt to the crisis, though these solutions require additional resources and effort to sustain community well-being.
