Deadly Attack on Kyiv: July 2 Casualties and Damage

According to Espreso.tv: A strike on the Ukrainian capital on July 2 left 10 people dead and many injured, including children. More than 30 locations across the city were hit during the assault. At 07:26, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine (SES) reported 9 fatalities and 34 wounded. By 06:56, Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko confirmed that the death toll had risen to 10. According to official data, 56 people were injured in total, two of whom were children.

“Unfortunately, as a result of yet another massive combined enemy attack on the Kyiv region, we have casualties,” commented Mykola Kalashnyk on the situation.

Air defense forces shot down 21 enemy unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), a critical element of protection during the assault. The situation in the city remains tense, with local authorities continuing to assess the scale of destruction and provide assistance to victims.
