According to Novyny.live: Authorities in Cherkasy have detained five members of an organized crime ring that allegedly terrorized a local family, demanding $250,000 over a fabricated debt. The group is accused of physically assaulting the husband and wife, threatening their child, and systematically vandalizing their property.
The victims had already paid $50,000 before the criminals issued an ultimatum for the remaining $200,000 to be handed over within 72 hours. Law enforcement conducted over 20 simultaneous searches, uncovering evidence linking the suspects to the extortion scheme.
