Forced evacuation in Zaporizhzhia and Dnipropetrovsk: over 3000 children will be relocated

According to ТСН: In the front-line communities of Zaporizhzhia and Dnipropetrovsk regions, where the security situation has worsened, a forced evacuation is planned. More than 3 thousand children with their parents will be relocated from 44 settlements.

This information was provided by the Deputy Prime Minister for the Reconstruction of Ukraine, Minister of Community and Territorial Development Oleksiy Kuleba.

Details of the evacuation

In Zaporizhzhia region, the evacuation of 651 children from 4 settlements in two communities is planned. In Dnipropetrovsk region, 2463 children will leave from 40 settlements in five communities.

Oleksiy Kuleba also noted that on December 30, mandatory evacuation was announced in 14 settlements of Chernihiv region: the process has already been completed in three of them, while it continues in eleven.

“It is important for the regions receiving the evacuees to coordinate actions and ensure proper conditions for families,” said the Deputy Prime Minister.

Coordination of assistance

Since the beginning of June 2025, 150 thousand people have already been evacuated from the front-line territories to safer regions, among whom are nearly 18 thousand children and over 5 thousand people with limited mobility.

“There are 17 transit centers working for the coordination of processes. Here people receive comprehensive support: humanitarian, medical, psychological, legal, and social. They are helped to restore documents, arrange payments and social services, as well as receive financial support from the government and humanitarian partner organizations,” noted Oleksiy Kuleba.

According to the official, more than 80 thousand places have been prepared in temporary accommodation for internally displaced persons, allowing people after evacuation to be provided with everything they need.

The Deputy Prime Minister also drew attention to the round-the-clock hotline 15-48, where any important information regarding evacuation, temporary accommodation, obtaining status, and assistance for internally displaced persons can be obtained.

Evacuation from dangerous territories is an important step in ensuring the safety of children and their parents. The critical situation in these regions requires urgent and coordinated actions from the state and local authorities so that everyone who finds themselves in difficult conditions receives the necessary assistance and support during such trials.
