The Deposit Guarantee Fund reported how much money is kept in the accounts of Ukrainians.
According to the Deposit Guarantee Fund of Individuals, as of April 1, 2025, the total amount of citizens' deposits in Ukrainian banks amounted to UAH 1,392.8 billion. This amount is distributed between deposits in the national currency - UAH 892.8 billion and in foreign currency - UAH 500.0 billion.
The total amount of deposits includes deposits of individual entrepreneurs, which account for 11.2% or UAH 156.6 billion.
It should be noted that since April 13, 2022, 100% guarantees under the Law of Ukraine 'On Amendments to Certain Laws of Ukraine on Ensuring the Stability of the Individual Deposit Guarantee System' apply to citizens' deposits, including those of individual entrepreneurs, in Ukrainian banks. If martial law is lifted or terminated, the guaranteed compensation amount for depositors of Ukrainian banks will be UAH 600,000.
