France has arrested a villa linked to Putin's ex-wife: investigation details.
French law enforcement authorities arrested the Riveri villa in December 2023, which is linked to the ex-wife of Russian dictator Vladimir Putin - Lyudmila Ocheretnaya. This was reported by the publication Challenges.
The villa belonged to Russian Arthur Ocheretny - the husband of Putin's ex-wife, the media reports. The property is located in Anglet, near Biarritz. Previously, the Paris prosecutor's office had already conducted searches there.
'Under the scrutiny' of the prosecutor's office is also the property of several close Kremlin oligarchs - Gennady Timchenko, the Rotenberg brothers, and businessman Sergey Toni.
Details about the Riveri villa
The Riveri villa was built in 1930. It was initially named Villa Susanna in honor of the widow of a London banker who was its sponsor.
OCCRP notes that the property, with an area of 5,000 square meters, was purchased for 5.4 million euros by Arthur Ocheretny in December 2013.
As we mentioned earlier, a court in France froze the ownership rights to the Irina Maria villa at the resort of Roquebrune-Cap-Martin (French Riviera).
