According to ТСН: In Ivano-Frankivsk, during the cleaning of the territory, an incident occurred in which an employee of the utility enterprise 'Blagoustriy' was injured. This was reported by the prosecutor's office.

Conflict Details

According to the investigation, an argument arose between a 32-year-old driver and a 63-year-old municipal worker. When the utility worker was walking along the edge of the road with a snow shovel, the driver behind began to honk and demand that he clear the roadway. However, the man did not pay attention to this, as he was listening to music through headphones.

Physical Assault

After this, the driver stopped the car, got out, and tried to forcibly remove the headphones from the utility worker. In response, the utility employee struck the car with the shovel. Without hesitation, the driver took out an object resembling a wooden bat and struck the 63-year-old man four times in the head and back. As a result of the attack, the utility worker was found to have minor bodily injuries.

Legal Consequences

Prosecutors of the Ivano-Frankivsk District Prosecutor's Office have charged the driver under Part 4 of Article 296 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine — hooliganism with the use of an object specially adapted or pre-prepared for inflicting bodily harm.

The suspect was detained, and the court chose a preventive measure in the form of detention with the possibility of bail. If his guilt is proven, the man could face up to seven years in prison.

It is worth noting that recently in Ukraine, due to adverse weather conditions, rescuers, power workers, and utility workers have been working in an enhanced mode, which has led to an increase in incidents on the road. This situation indicates the need to adhere to parking rules and be attentive while performing official duties in difficult weather conditions.
