A shooting occurred in Kyiv — a man was killed in his own car.

A shooting occurred in the Desnyanskyi district of Kyiv early in the morning on July 8, during which an unknown person opened fire on a man in his car. This was reported by the Kyiv police.

Law enforcement officials reported that they received a message about the shooting in the Desnyanskyi district around 07:00. Preliminary information suggests that an unknown person approached a parked car on the street, where the man was inside, and fired a weapon before fleeing. The victim died from the gunshot wound.

Currently, a forensic investigation team from the territorial unit and the capital’s police department, as well as criminal investigation officers and dog handlers, are working at the scene. A criminal case has been opened in connection with the incident — intentional murder. The police are working to establish the identity of the attacker and to apprehend him.
