Russia prepares for war until 2026: expert on the true plans of the Kremlin.
According to ТСН: The Russian leadership does not see the cessation of hostilities as a priority and is preparing the army to continue the conflict at least until the end of 2026. While international discussions focus on peace initiatives, Moscow is actively working on plans for offensive operations.
International expectations and reality
This information was reported by the head of security programs at the Globalistics Center 'Strategy XXI', Captain First Rank Pavlo Lakiychuk. According to him, there is a significant gap between the expectations of Western leaders and the reality that unfolds under the Kremlin's direction. While the U.S. president seeks a quick end to the war, and European allies focus on security guarantees for Ukraine, Vladimir Putin puts forward conditions that make peace impossible.
Kremlin priorities
Pavlo Lakiychuk noted that for the Russian leader, the issue of a ceasefire is at the bottom of the list.
"Putin appears, saying: 'No, security guarantees are all unimportant, and even a ceasefire.' First, we address the problems, deal with the guarantees of post-war security, and then we stop the war. In Trump's 'Plan' (point 28), the end of the war is last, and in Zelensky's — last as well. Why? Because Putin does not want to stop the war," he emphasized.
Russia's military strategy
The analyst also noted the annual board meeting of the Russian Ministry of Defense, where military leaders report to the president. This event shows the real directions of Russian policy, which contradict the peace rhetoric.
"There is no talk of any peace for 2026 and no plans for achieving peace in 2025. The focus is on continuing to achieve the objectives of the so-called 'SVO' in 2026. The entire year is dedicated to this. And there are no alternative options being discussed," Lakiychuk concluded.
Furthermore, the Russian leader signed yet another decree on the mobilization of citizens for military service in 2026. Earlier, he also claimed to have ordered the 'liberation' of three Ukrainian regions.
The situation remains tense, and Moscow's actions indicate that peace negotiations are currently not a priority. World leaders continue to hope for diplomatic solutions, but the realities faced by Ukraine suggest otherwise. The deepening military activity of Russia may lead to further escalations of the conflict.
